U.S Dimes have been minted from 1796 - Present. From 1796 - 1837 there were to designs, Draped bust and Capped bust. From 1837 - 1891 the U.S mint produced The Liberty Seated Dime. The Seated Liberty Dime was minted at the Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Carson City mint. The mint mark is located either above or below the wreath on the reverse. The Liberty Seated Dime contained 90% silver and 10% copper. The average Seated Liberty Dime can get you anywhere from $15 to $2,000. Some valuable dates include,

After the Mercury Dime the U.S minted the Roosevelt Dime. The Roosevelt Dime was minted from 1946 - Present. The Roosevelt Dime was minted at Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco. The mint mark from 1946 - 1964 was on the bottom left of the torch. From 1968 - Present the mint mark is located above the date. From 1946 - 1964 the Roosevelt Dime contained 90% silver and 10% copper. From 1965 - present the Roosevelt Dime contained 75% copper and 25% nickel. All Roosevelt Dimes are worth about Face Value except ones in mint state, errors, or pre 1965 silver.
